How do I get my jasmine houseplant enough sun without scorching the leaves?

Whenever it is in the direct sunlight the leaves dry out. Whenver it doesn't get enought sun the leaves start to lighten in color and wilt. I live in South Dakota and direct sunlight is very intense here. Any suggections?

If you put the plant outside, in the shade, it should get the sunlight it needs. I do this for my jasmine and she loves it. Just make sure its not out too long, it could make it grumpy and wilt.
Reply:Try filtered light, like a sheer curtain between plant and sun. Misting helps, too. Good luck! I love Jasmine.
Reply:use a window on the other side of the house that has late light, or try putting it under other trees or bigger plants that can shade it from direct sunlight.
