So I decided to name my daughters "Sienna Grace" and "India Jasmine".Please answer my question in the Details.

1. Do you like these names?

2. Should Sienna be spelled with a "C"?

3. Do "India" and "Sienna" sound too close together?

4. Any other middle name suggestions?

5. Any other thoughts or comments?

Thanks a bunch! :)

So I decided to name my daughters "Sienna Grace" and "India Jasmine".Please answer my question in the Details.
1.

I love those names! Sienna and India... so pretty, and I love that you have a flower and a virute as middle names. That is such a sweet, innocent word for her to carry around for ever. Remember, a name is the best and most important birthday gift you ever give your child. You have chose well.

2.

I like Sienna better with an S than a C, because of three reasons: a. it is the same name either way and S is what most people will write, so it will save on mistakes. b. Sienna with an S is a place name (Siena) in Italy. Then both girls have place name names. c. I think that the letter S is prettier that the letter C... but that's just my opinion. Imagine her initials: SG is prettier in cursive than CG.

3.

Sienna and India are similar but different enough that each girl will have a unique name and not feel smushed together. You chose well, I think because they are a pair, but not the SAME.

4.

I love you middle names! But if you want suggestions, try these other virtue/flower names:

Sienna Autumn

Sienna Charity

Sienna Faith

Sienna Lavender

Sienna Rose

Sienna Lily

and

India Patience

India Fern

India Mahogany

India Pearl

India Eve

5.

You children are very lucky to have a mom who is so careful with her details! I love both of your names a lot.

Good luck!

ps

in response to people who think that those names are ethnic etc... I would use them on my daughters!
Reply:i love both names, i think you did a great job picking out those names! i prefer Sienna with an "S", it looks prettier. Your children' s name sound similar enough, like they're related, but not too much, like twins.

Good Luck!!
Reply:1. I like both names, I think they are both beautiful

2. I would not change the spelling of Sienna, it is such a unique name.

3. No, I don't think they sound too much alike.

4. No, I think it is perfect

5. Every child should have a name that means something and make the child unique in there own way. As long as you are happy with what you chose, that is all that matters!!
Reply:Cienna looks unappealing but Sieanna is good.

I dont like the name India too much but if you like it..

they dont sound too close , middle names are good
Reply:How pretty!!!

Yes, I love them

No, With an S

No, they are perfect

No I think they are perfect the way they are

Enjoy them! Your off to a good start!
Reply:Yes I LOVE LOVE LOVE THOSE NAMES!! I like Sienna w/ the S much better than a c.

I do not think India and Sienna sound too close together.

I think i prefer Sienna Grace over India Jasmine, but I truly think those or beautiful original names!! your baby will be gracious!

-suggestion for India is Indiah instead. I like it better than the country name etc...
Reply:1. Yes! They are very nice.

2. No! I like it the way it is. It's already a beautiful name, don't get too crazy with it.

3. No, they don't! They sound very different, but fit well together!

4. No, cuz I like the ones you already have!

5. Nope! Go with what you've chosen.
Reply:I assume you know that you are having twin girls, otherwise I would wonder how you know you are having 2 daughters.

The names you've chosen are somewhat unique, but not off the wall. If you like them, that's what really matters.
Reply:it doesnt matter if you girls are black white red or purple those names are beautiful. and i love sienna spelled with a s. no they do not sound to close together. stick with what you have the names are great first and middle. good luck :)
Reply:I agree that Grace is a little overrated these days and used quite a bit. if you found something that meant similar would be great. Allure means to fascinate or charm, %26amp; to be attractive/tempting. it has somewhat the same meaning. i think it's a unique word to use in a name.

maybe Jasmine Allure

i think that sounds unique. it'll also make people wonder what allure means...

as for india i dont really like that, and i think as an adult/teen she wouldn't either.

if you use Sienna definately with an "S". Sienna Laine is cute, yet different.

hope that helps...but just my opinion!
Reply:thats all irrelevant, y do you care so much about what other ppl think of your babies names? they are ure kids n your going to have to call these children by their names for the rest of their life, us we will probably never meet your kids, i think the names are really pretty, and im guessing your having twins, the names are close enough thats its cute, but no i dont think they are too similar. i like sienna with an 's' cienna is kinda similar to cena which means dinner in spanish.
Reply:1. Sienna Grace is nice. I'm not so sure about India Jasmine. It sounds like a flower. Why do u want India in the name anyway? Try something less ethnic. Give them a more global feel.

2. Sienna with a "S" sounds better.

3. No.

4. Mary?? I don't have any idea...

5. When u want to choose a name for ur child, do this... Go to the backyard of ur house or to a park where u can shout. Then call out the name(s) loudly and many times. (You will be doing a lot of this when ur child grows up and starts getting mischievous). If the name(s) sounds comfortable, then go for it. If u feel uneasy or embarrassed (or think that ur child will be embarrassed if u call her by that name) then please change it. This is the formula I adopted when I chose my child's name. And it really works, I tell u...

2) No, spell Sienna just how you have it.

3) No, they're not too close together. They're similar, but not too close - they'd be great names for sisters.

4) I think Sienna Grace is great - the middle name fits well. India Jasmine seems a bit long when you say it. Maybe consider a different middle name for India?

5) My only other thought is... *Congrats!* :o)
Reply:1.I love your choice of names, both very pretty.

2.Definantly spell Sienna with an "S"

3.Not too close together, I think they sound great together.

4.I like them just the way they are, I think you should stick with them.

Good Luck!
Reply:I also do not like India Jasmine.
Reply:1. yes i like them, but it only matters if you do :)

2. cienna, sienna? def with an s

3. i don't think they are too close together. i think they go together well.

4. as for a middle name, i think they sound good the way they are.

5. i've always liked the name delilah, which i don't think goes with the names you picked, just throwing it out there
Reply:I like the name Sienna Grace, but I don't like the name India Jasmine. Maybe if it was Jasmine India. Well maybe not I just don't like the name India, it makes me think of this girl, that I had a confrontation with in High school.lol Maybe Iris Jasmine, or Jasmine Iris, or Ianyae' Jasmine pronounced like the shoes. I like Sienna spelled with an 'S'.
Reply:1. I like India Jasmine a lot. I really don't care for Sienna Grace. It makes me think Ciara, which I much prefer.

2. Cienna vs Sienna. I would stick with the S.

3. No, I don't think they sound all that similar to each other at all.

4. I love Jasmine. Grace is very very overused these days. Maybe try for something not so common and trendy.

5. Congrats on your daughters!
Reply:oooo...how bout keeping SIENNA with an 'S' and changing INDIA to DYA JASMINE...pronounced DYE-AH...i think its interesting to hear!

oooo...and what about ZOEY JASMINE? i likeeeee!!!!!

the middle names r kool though...dont change them!!!
Reply:LOVE Sienna Grace, India Jasmine isn't really grabbing me.

How about Kenya Jasmine? I think Kenya and Sienna are really cute together. Or Kenda Jasmine. Or Asia Jasmine.. i love the name Kenda, I knew a beautiful girl named Kenda. But it is truely what you want. And you are right..... My name is Tenisha and I am white. haha
Reply:are you indian? I like the sienna grace, and spell it with a S. India jasmine doesnt really have a ring to it, perhaps if you re arrange it to Jasmine india, it sounds better phonetically.

2. No spell Sienna with an S

3. No they are similar and have the a sound as an ending but India will probably end up nick named Indie.

4.No the combinations sound fine the way they are.

5.If you like the names and they sit well with you then keep them, your the one who has to use them every day and your the one that they are going to hate if you choose the wrong name, and you wont have a comeback if you dont like it either.
Reply:I love Sienna and i like it with a S, India isn't a name i would choose but it's not too close to Sienna. Congrats x
Reply:1. I really like Sienna Grace, and I like the names India and Jasmine seperately, but I think India Jasmine sounds like a perfume name.

2. Heck no! It's beautiful, especially with the S. With a C, it looks awkward and misspelled, especially because it's a real word.

3. No. They have similar sounds, but they aren't matchy.

4. I really like Sienna Grace, but I already voiced my concerns with India Jasmine. To further link their names, you could have three syllables in the first name, and one in the middle name. Maybe India Jade, India Faith, India Hope, India Lynn, India May? India Jade is my favorite of this group.

5. Congrats!

5a. No, they don't sound super ethnic, and even if they do to other people, so what? It's not like you're going for Quyannd'ahlaysiaah or something equally painful. They are real names, with meaning and strength behind them.
Reply:1. I like Sienna Grace, I do not like India Jasmine

2. Sienna should be S

3. No, they do not sound too close

4. Look into family names for middle names

5. Enjoy you twins
Reply:1. No

2. It should be spelled the way you like it.

3. Yes

4. No, don't like the first names, too popular(the first) and too ethnic(second).

5. No
Reply:I LOVE BOTH NAMES : )

Sienna is fine spelled with a S.

India and Sienna do not sound too close together. Two different sounds.

The middle names are great especially Grace. If I changed a middle name it would be Jasmine to Faith, Hope, Alexis, Rose, Marie, or Janee.

Great choices, leave them alone.

2. No

3. No

4. The middle names are nice, I don't like the first names as much as the middle names.
Reply:1. Yes, I really like these names. I love it that I don't hear them that often...that makes me like them better.

2. I like it spelled with an "S" better. It seems more feminine to me. With a "C" it looks too close to cinema when you glance at it.

3. They sound alike a little bit...are these for twins? or not?

4. Sienna Marie...India Grace...Danielle (for both)

5. Someone else who answered said that your children would have a problem getting a job because of their names. I completely disagree. Yes, some sound more businessy to some than others do. But, in my experience in the business world...your resume says more than your name. People know that names don't tell your ethnicity as much as they use to. Also, if you have a bad resume of cource you're not gonna get a call. But, it probably won't be because of your name alone.
Reply:Sienna Raine
Reply:1. No. They sound too ethnic. Once in the job world, I'm going to look at the names and hire a Karen or Jennifer over a Sienna or India.

2. No, spell it with an S - it looks nicer.

3. No, they don't.

4. Sienna Grace sounds like "Seattle Grace" the hospital on Grey's Anatomy. India Grace and Sienna Jasmine work.

5. I'll say again, you're typecasting your kids naming them ethnically. They are going to have to work harder to get a job, and always prove themselves worthy of a position. It sucks, but that's the way the world works. As a Carissa, I can tell you I have the worst time getting a job, and I have a college degree. I don't even get calls on my resumes! They see the name, and think "Black Woman" and they don't call.
