Is a Jasmine Flower a kind of lilly?

Jasmine is a vine. Confederate jasmine is a five petaled star shape. Carolina Jasmine ( or Jessamine) is yellow. There is star jasmine which has several petals, white, about and inch wide. Pink jasmine is small light pink flowers. Crape jasmine looks like a small gardenia flower. All are very fragrant.

The yellow Carolina climbs quite high and blooms will be at the highest levels unless you keep it cut. Confederate makes a good ground cover about 18 to 24 inches high. The others are like bushes but will vine out on a trellis, as will the confederate. The library is a great place to find information.

Full sun to part shade is best. Oh, yes there is a downy Jasmine, too. All are very fragrant! H
