It sounds possible that your Jasmine buds were caught by a frost or a very cold wind. Jasmines are pretty hardy but if it was inside at a garden centre, or in a very sheltered place and then 'shocked' into an open garden that too could be enough to stop it flowering. Give it a sheltered position, away from frost pockets and drying winds and it will soon perk up. Good luck :-)
I bought jasmine plant few days back.It had small white buds, but they are not opening, some turned purple %26amp; dry
Hi:
All plants when they change an environment may go into a shock period. This is possible of your Jasmine plant. I am not sure what climate zone you live in. If you still have cold days and nights, it will need shelter until after the last frost. There are different varieties of Jasmine and will do very well in zones seven and above in the United States. Keep the Jasmine watered and some good sunlight. I hope this has helped some and I will link you to the tropics section of my website. It has a page on Jasmine. I will also link you to the site map, as this page has everything that is on the website. Browse through and see if you can find any other information that may be helpful to you. There are articles, tips and techniques. Good luck with your Jasmine and have a great day!
