Yes, each type of rice has a slightly differrent taste and texture, but most are good.
Jasmin is one of our favorites, but we never buy the processed rice you get in the grocery stores regardless of what kind it is. We go to an oriental store and buy the unprocessed rice in 25 pound bags. Last us about a month.
