It is 2 story side wall of my house. Where can I buy those plant anchors? I don't see them in home improvement stores...
How do I get Carolina jasmine to grow over a brick wall?
What you can do is, string an invisable trellis with heavy gauged fishing line. Very easy to do, plus you can make great designs, such as diamonds, hearts, swirls, just about anything, just get creative. You will be the talk of the nieghborhood! All you need is a drill, masonry bit, heavy gauge fishing line, masonry screws, tape measure. Siply measure out your design (diamonds or whatever) mark your measurements with a crayon (say red) make sure that when drilling a hole with the masonry bit that it is smaller in width than the screw, drill hole on the mark, screw in screw leaving the top hat so that you can wrap the fishing line around it. Once you have all of your screws in, loop knot one end to the beggining of your design, wrap it about 2-3 times around that screw, then move to the next, and so on. Before you know it your done. Then simply redirect your vine, this may take some time if they are grown quite a bit, but worth it. Be sure before you start, that if your vine is largely grown be gentle in taking it from the wall or trellis. You ay want to cut it back a little. Your vine will have no trouble adjusting to it's new found friend. It will like it, and so will you and your nieghbors! Good luck! :)
Reply:Hi:
Carolina Jasmine will do fine if you put a trellis against the wall. You should be able to purchase a trellis at your local garden center or nursery. A lot of the nurseries will carry them. The trellis works great and you will be able to train your jasmine in a short time.
I hope this helps and good luck finding a trellis. Take a look at my website and browse through my site map for other possible landscape solutions. Also, take a look at my information page as there are different companies that I have on there that sell the trellis. Check out Landscaper Supply as well as Landscape USA. Have a great day!
